Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control in Corning, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor entry records, and following site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and documenting activities according to policy.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence, observing surroundings, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
