Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and maintain thorough documentation of clients’ progress from initial consultations through the entirety of their treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through assessments and interviews, creating individualized profiles that guide your clinical interventions.

• Develop and implement intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based approaches to guide treatment strategies.

• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, employing varied therapeutic techniques to ensure a strong therapeutic alliance with each client.

• Monitor client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting interventions as necessary to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals, primary care providers, and support staff, to provide holistic care.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and primary care physicians on hospital-admitted clients to ensure continuity of care and effective discharge planning.

• Identify barriers to recovery, providing strategic support in addressing and mitigating factors that may impede clients’ mental health progress.

• Support family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage clients’ behavioral challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrable experience in mental health counseling, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to document and manage client information effectively.

• Insight into the effects of physical health conditions and addiction disorders on mental health.

• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong understanding of pharmacological treatments and their impacts on mental health.

• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to convey empathy and understanding in all interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, including a sign-on bonus as an added incentive for exceptional candidates.
