Key Responsibilities\n

• Build meaningful relationships with youth clients, establishing trust and providing a safe and supportive space for them to explore their thoughts and emotions.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, adapting approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused brief therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.

• Utilize active listening and empathy to validate clients' experiences, helping them to feel seen and understood.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and medical staff, to deliver holistic care that addresses both psychological and physical health needs.

• Engage in ongoing self-reflection and professional development, attending workshops and seeking supervision to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse group of youth clients who are dealing with a range of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to behavioral challenges. Many of our clients come from varying backgrounds, which requires a culturally competent approach to counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field is a mandatory requirement.

• A current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) is essential for this position.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience working directly with youth in a counseling or social work setting is required; five (5) years is highly preferred.
