Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Toxicology

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its toxicology department in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality on a Thursday-Sunday overnight shift. Full training is provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
• Perform routine and complex toxicology procedures following departmental protocols
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Prepare and evaluate reagents and controls; document quality control procedures
• Report accurate test results and maintain safe work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Three months or more clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
