Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Special Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Special Chemistry team in Burlington, North Carolina. The role involves performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, operating instrumentation, and ensuring specimen quality and accurate test results in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Document preventative maintenance, quality control, and report accurate test results

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum one year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Ability to pass color blindness test
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
