Company & Position Company: Lucky Scent | Scent Bar Position Title: Sales Associate Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Work Location: On-site, Downtown Los Angeles & Hollywood, CA Compensation: $25.00 per hour, plus commission and incentive opportunities Position Summary Lucky Scent | Scent Bar is seeking a Sales Associate to support retail operations and deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused in‑store experience. This position is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product knowledge, supporting inventory and store operations, and contributing to overall sales performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced luxury retail environment while creating memorable fragrance discovery experiences for customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Greet and assist customers in a professional, welcoming, and courteous manner. Provide fragrance consultations, product information, and recommendations based on customer preferences and needs. Promote and sell merchandise to meet or exceed individual and store sales goals. Process transactions accurately using point‑of‑sale systems (cash, credit cards, and mobile payments). Respond to customer inquiries in person, by telephone, and through other approved communication channels. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty. Store Operations Perform opening and closing procedures in accordance with company standards. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards. Restock merchandise and ensure product displays are properly maintained and fully stocked. Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management. Prepare daily sales reports and communicate relevant business updates. Support a positive and collaborative team environment. Inventory & Administrative Support Receive, unpack, and process incoming shipments and stock transfers. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts. Organize and replenish backstock as needed to support daily sales operations. Assist with in‑store events, brand activations, influencer visits, and press appointments. Support general store maintenance and operational needs. Work Schedule and Work Location Requirements Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs. This position requires regular, on‑site work at the Company’s Downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood retail locations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work in California. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 20 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as stocking, organizing, and handling merchandise. Qualifications Prior retail or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Interest in fragrance, beauty, or luxury retail products preferred. Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
