IT Manager

Position Summary

Our client is seeking an IT Manager to lead day-to-day technology operations, cybersecurity initiatives, business systems support, and vendor relationships across the organization. This individual will serve as the primary internal technology leader, ensuring reliable IT services, secure systems, and effective support for business operations. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with strong project management, vendor coordination, and process improvement capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Lead the organization's IT operations and technology support functions.
• Manage relationships with external technology providers, consultants, and service partners.
• Oversee technology performance, incident management, service delivery, and escalation processes.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and availability of business-critical systems and infrastructure.
• Support end users with complex technical issues while guiding overall support operations.
• Manage hardware, software, cloud platforms, and technology asset lifecycles.
• Oversee user access administration, identity management, and security-related processes.
• Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, and technology improvement initiatives.
• Partner with department leaders to identify and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Support enterprise applications and business systems, including user administration, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
• Maintain technology documentation, policies, standards, and operational procedures.
• Drive cybersecurity initiatives, risk mitigation efforts, and security awareness practices.
• Support compliance, audit preparation, regulatory requirements, and internal control processes.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and business continuity planning activities.
• Develop recommendations for future technology investments and operational improvements.
• Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related experience.
• 5+ years of progressive IT experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience managing third-party technology vendors, service providers, or consultants.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern business technology environments.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and business applications.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, and technology risk management.
• Strong troubleshooting, project coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing business needs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Prior experience in an IT leadership, supervisory, or manager-level role.
• Experience supporting ERP or other enterprise business systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance programs, and audit processes.
• Experience with endpoint management, identity management, and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of business continuity, disaster recovery, and data governance practices.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL, CISSP, Security+, or related credentials.
• Experience supporting operational, industrial, manufacturing, or other complex business environments.
