Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Ontario, CA (In-Office)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $22.00 – $28.00/hour (Commensurate with experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in Ontario, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring timely customer invoicing, and executing proactive collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing: Accurately prepare, issue, and distribute daily/weekly customer invoices and credit memos.
Collections: Perform regular follow-ups on past-due accounts via phone and email; resolve customer billing inquiries politely and efficiently.
Payment Processing: Post daily cash, check, credit card, and ACH payments to correct customer accounts.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile AR sub-ledgers against the general ledger and resolve any billing discrepancies or payment shortfalls.
Reporting: Maintain AR aging reports and keep management updated on outstanding balances and high-risk accounts.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2+ years of dedicated Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience preferred.
Software: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional collection outreach.
Attention to Detail: Excellent organization skills with a track record of high accuracy in data entry.
