The student clinics are an essential piece to providing excellent oral care to the community and supports student learning. The Office of Clinical Affairs has an immediate opening for a Patient Services Representative to support patient care and student learning. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and committed to delivering stellar customer service. This talented individual will welcome patients into the school by completing full‑service patient processing. The Patient Services Representative is expected to handle multiple tasks at once and maintain accuracy and professionalism at all times. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient check‑in, insurance eligibility verification, and financial reconciliation of patient accounts. Job Accountabilities: Performs a variety of administrative duties in a dental clinic or practice. Provides assistance to patients and to management. Checks in patients. Verifying insurance eligibility Reconciling patient accounts and financial transactions. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education: Associate’s degree Preferred Experience: 2-5 years working front office in a Dental Clinic Working knowledge of dental management systems, preferably axiUm or Dentrix. Experience in consumer‑side healthcare environment. Bilingual in English & Spanish. Preferred Skills: Answer telephones Assemble and organize numerical data Auditing Balance figures Cash handling Clinical documentation Communicate with others to gather information Compute totals Customer service Establish filling systems Gather data Maintain filing systems Prioritize difference projects Read handwritten text Schedule appointments Taking payments Understand and apply policies and procedures Use database and/or word processing software Verify calculations

The budgeted hourly rate for this position is $22.50/hr .
