Business Operations & Development Officer Location: Malta Company: Malta Credit Bureau (MCB) About Malta Credit Bureau Malta Credit Bureau (MCB) is a Credit Reference Agency licensed by the Central Bank of Malta and a joint venture between Infocredit Group and MACM . MCB provides credit reference, credit scoring and business information services that support informed credit decisions and responsible lending within the Maltese market. The Role MCB is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Business Operations & Development Officer to support its day-to-day operations and continued growth in Malta. This is a broad, hands-on role combining operations, products and business development . The successful candidate will work closely with MCB's management, clients, partners and service providers, supporting the delivery and development of MCB's services while also helping to identify and develop new business opportunities. The position is particularly suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across different areas of a business and contributing directly to the growth of a developing organisation. Key Responsibilities Business Operations Support the day-to-day business and operational activities of MCB. Coordinate client requests, enquiries and service-related matters. Support client onboarding and ongoing account management. Liaise with internal teams, partners and service providers to ensure effective delivery of MCB services. Assist in maintaining appropriate operational processes, documentation and reporting. Follow up on operational issues and ensure matters are progressed and resolved in a timely manner. Support management with operational and business reporting. Products & Services Develop a strong understanding of MCB's credit reference, credit scoring and business information services. Support the introduction, development and ongoing improvement of MCB products and services. Gather client feedback and market requirements and communicate them internally. Assist with product presentations, demonstrations, proposals and client onboarding. Help identify opportunities for new services or enhancements based on the needs of the Maltese market. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders on product implementation and service delivery. Business Development & Client Relationships Identify and develop new business opportunities within Malta. Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients. Arrange and participate in client meetings, presentations and commercial discussions. Promote MCB's services to banks, financial institutions, lenders and other organisations that can benefit from credit information and risk assessment services. Develop opportunities within existing client relationships. Maintain and follow up the business development pipeline. Monitor market developments and identify potential areas for MCB's continued growth. Represent MCB at relevant business meetings, conferences and industry events. Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking responsibility . The ideal candidate should have: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking, Management or a related field. Approximately 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in business operations, business development, account management, financial services or a related area. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good commercial awareness and an interest in credit risk and financial services. Ability to build professional relationships with clients and stakeholders. Strong organisational and follow-up skills. Ability to manage several responsibilities and priorities simultaneously. Confidence in preparing and delivering presentations and communicating with clients. Excellent written and spoken English. A practical, hands-on and solution-oriented approach. Experience in banking, lending, credit risk, credit information, financial services or business information will be considered an advantage but is not essential.
