Business Development Manager (Non-Attorney) – Law Firm

Location: On-site / Hybrid (as applicable)

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience + performance incentives

Position Overview

A growing law firm is seeking a non-attorney Business Development Manager to drive client acquisition and expand the firm’s presence across key practice areas. This role is ideal for a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a relationship-based environment and understands how to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct outbound outreach to prospective clients, referral sources, and strategic partners
Qualify inbound and outbound leads and coordinate initial consultations with attorneys
Build and maintain strong relationships to generate consistent business opportunities
Manage and track sales pipelines, ensuring accurate reporting and follow-up
Collaborate closely with attorneys to align client needs with the firm’s services
Identify new business opportunities across targeted practice areas
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform outreach strategy
Attend networking events, industry functions, and community engagements
Support marketing and branding initiatives to increase firm visibility

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
Experience in legal, professional services, or B2B sales strongly preferred
Proven ability to generate leads and close business in a consultative sales environment
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to understand complex client needs and translate them into actionable solutions
Highly organized with experience managing pipelines and CRM systems
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting
