Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement personalized physical therapy programs in accordance with physician prescriptions, focusing on pain relief, mobility enhancement, and functional independence.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' strength, mobility, and functional abilities through standardized assessments to establish baselines.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and maintaining high standards of care.
• Conduct home environment assessments to recommend modifications that promote rehabilitation and patient safety, enhancing overall functionality.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, traction, and other interventions, while educating patients and families on self-management strategies.
• Regularly document patient progress, response to treatment, and changes in condition in compliance with clinical record-keeping requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during case conferences, contributing insights into patient care planning and evaluation.
• Provide guidance and training to clients and their families regarding the proper use and care of rehabilitation devices.
• Participate in the development and updating of patient care plans, making data-driven decisions to adjust therapy interventions as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient demographic, encompassing individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey with no disciplinary history.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation, including familiarity with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in community-based rehabilitation programs is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
