Position Description:

We are seeking a Solutions Consultant to help our Sales and Account Management teams demonstrate the business value of Motus solutions and design approaches that address our clients’ needs. This role combines value engineering, solution building, customer engagement, and sales enablement, with an emphasis on translating client information and business challenges into compelling, ROI-based business cases and proposals.

The Solutions Consultant will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Product, and other internal teams. They will understand customer needs, analyze opportunities, and recommend solutions that deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and customer-facing skills, is comfortable working with cost and ROI models, and can quickly develop expertise in Motus products, industries, and sales methodologies.

As they grow in the role, the Solutions Consultant will also help craft how Motus brings its solutions to market. This includes contributing to sales strategies, discovery approaches, demo choreographies, value messaging, and talk tracks. They will also identify opportunities to create more efficient tools and processes used by Solutions Consulting and Sales. This includes collaborating with cross-functional partners to apply AI and emerging technology to improve calculators, analysis tools, and sales workflows.

Position Duties:

• Partner with Sales and Account Management to gain insight into customer business challenges, requirements, data, and desired outcomes, and translate them into tailored solution recommendations aligned with Motus capabilities and customer goals.
• Conduct cost, financial, benchmarking, and ROI analyses using customer-provided data and Motus methodologies to quantify business impact and develop compelling, value-based business cases.
• Build ROI-focused proposals, presentations, and recommendations in close coordination with Strategic and Enterprise Account Managers, and support RFP and RFI responses.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and customer presentations tailored to specific use cases, industries, and business priorities, building proficiency across Motus products and demo environments as product and industry expertise develops.
• Contribute to the evolution of Motus sales strategies, discovery approaches, demo choreographies, talk tracks, and value messaging based on customer interactions, field insights, and lessons learned.
• Serve as a knowledgeable Solutions Consultant partner during key sales conversations, connecting Motus capabilities to customer challenges, operational improvements, financial impact, and quantifiable business results.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and other internal partners to validate solution feasibility, gather customer feedback, and translate field insights into recommendations for product, process, and sales enablement improvements.
• Improve the efficiency, usability, and scalability of analytical and sales tools, including benchmark models, cost calculators, ROI tools, and related workflows, by collaborating with internal stakeholders to leverage AI, automation, and other emerging technologies.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally as a Solutions Consultant, Value Consultant, Value Engineer, or Sales Engineer role in a complex SaaS B2B environment.
• Previous experience in sales, account management, customer success, or financial analysis roles will also be considered. These roles must demonstrate strong analytical, commercial, and customer-facing capabilities.
• Experience with value engineering, business case development, financial analysis, cost modeling, or ROI analysis, capable of interpreting customer data and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical proficiency and comfort working with quantitative information. Ability to learn and apply established methodologies for customer data intake, analysis, benchmarking, and return on investment development.
• Experience developing and presenting customer-facing proposals, recommendations, and product demonstrations that connect solution capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, combined with curiosity and a talent for rapidly learning new products, industries, business models, and analytical methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Account Management, Product, and other cross-functional teams while managing detailed customer requirements and data.
• Experience with or passion for improving analytical and sales processes through AI, automation, and emerging technology.
• Experience in vehicle solutions, fleet management, expense management, reimbursement, or related industries is a plus.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Looker) is a must have. Experience with AI tools like Loveable is a plus.

Where required by law, Motus provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The base pay range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
