City/StateVirginia Beach, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:Supply Chain Payment Specialist Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in rebate processing, payment assurance functions and financial leakage program. Recording, reconciling, and reporting transactions and balances related to rebates and/or payment recovery efforts. Verifies complex calculations of rebate amounts due based on contract language, reconciling source documentation, working with Supply Chain Sourcing Managers to verify and research any discrepancies. Identify, analyze, research, and resolve rebate or payment assurance issues. Prepare presentations, create relevant work papers, identify issues related to assigned areas and communicate well with various departments with staff at various levels. Provides financial, analytical, and business management support for the Supply Chain Director of Finance and/or Supply Chain Senior Management.Verifies complex calculations of rebate amounts due based on contract language, reconciling source documentation, working with Supply Chain Sourcing Managers to verify and research any discrepancies.• Review and comprehend factors indicating payment assurance in relation to Supply Chain functions. • Audits compliance support related to rebates and payment assurance and financial leakage.• Provides analytical support for the Supply Chain Director of Finance and/or Supply Chain Senior Management.• Ability to review payment or rebate transactions and identify issues related to Supply Chain functions.• Assists in the process of analysis and redesign of current operational procedures.• Research, read and understand rebate related sections of contracts and apply to rebate transactions.• Prepare, analyze, research and report on assigned areas. • Prepare presentations and for Supply Chain leadership summarizing operational/financial results and trends.• Create relevant work papers, schedules, dashboards, and reconciliations. • Works closely with Sentara colleagues in different departments across the system.• Establish a system to capture and report key metrics for assigned areas of responsibility.• Demonstrates understanding of accounting and account reconciliation.• Assist in the process of analysis and redesign of current operational procedures as needed.• Ability to communicate financial information related to rebates and payment assurance program.• Ability to determine next steps to follow until the related issue is resolved.• Provides support for internal and external regulatory and reporting requirements.• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis.• Gather and analyze data in support of projects assigned and proposed solutions; assists with special analysis and projects as requested.Hybrid schedule, Sentara Park (Virginia Beach)Potential Remote opportunity will be considered for strong candidatesEducationBachelor Level Degree RequiredCertification/LicensureNo specific certification or licensure requirementsExperience5 years related experience/business acumenStrong Independent workerAnalytical support for supply chainUnderstanding of contacts, application of rebate transactionsCreative ThinkerStrong attention to detailExcellent written and verbal skills We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $92,768.00 - $135,782.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
