What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and reporting guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, observe visitor and employee activity, and report policy violations or maintenance issues.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
