The Kitchen Supervisor oversees daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow, high food quality, and compliance with health and safety standards. Managing a small team of five or fewer staff, this role emphasizes leadership, quality control, and seamless coordination to maintain excellent customer service and operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate weekly physical inventory counts.
• Place orders with vendors and distributors
• Maintain quality control of food preparation and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Train and develop kitchen team members
• Address customer service issues promptly
• Supervise food preparation
• Track kitchen waste, portion control and vendor pricing.
• Coordinate team efforts for smooth operations
• Place orders with vendors
• Help prepare sandwiches

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in kitchen supervision
• Strong understanding of ordering systems, par levels, and inventory control.
• Someone that treats the kitchen like their own business... watching food costs, minimizing waste and focusing on creating quality sandwiches.
• Ability to motivate staff with positivity, communicate clearly and keep payroll costs down by cutting staff when necessary.
