Hyrbid Customer Service Representative

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Customer Verification Specialist (Call Center Specialist) to join our team. This role is critical in helping protect the integrity of customer and vendor records by validating change requests and identifying potential fraudulent activity. The ideal candidate is confident communicating with external contacts, enjoys investigative work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy matters.

In this position, you will conduct research using internal systems and online resources, make outbound verification calls to third parties, and document findings to ensure customer and vendor information is accurate and legitimate.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer and vendor record change requests to verify authenticity and accuracy.
• Conduct research using internal databases, business systems, and online resources to validate information.
• Place outbound calls to customers, vendors, and other third parties to obtain verbal confirmation of requested changes.
• Follow established procedures, workflows, and scripts to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Document findings accurately and maintain detailed records of all verification activities.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and escalate suspicious activity when necessary.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other business applications to track and manage requests.
• Maintain high productivity and accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of relevant call center experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking confidently with external contacts.
• Ability to follow established procedures, scripts, and training materials.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to learn new computer systems and technologies quickly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
