The Office of Auxiliary Services is seeking highly motivated and professional Student Assistants to support the office's daily operations. This position offers hands-on experience in administrative support, customer service, campus-wide services, and fast-paced office operations. Student Assistants may also provide as-needed support to the SHSU Kat Post. Primary Responsibilities - Auxiliary Services
- Administrative & Office Support
- Support daily administrative tasks including document preparation, photocopying, scanning, and secure shredding
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory
- Assist with organizing storage areas, meeting spaces, and workrooms
- Provide general support to leadership and administrative staff
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries for Auxiliary Services and Bearkat Bundle
- Greet and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Represent Auxiliary Services by tabling at orientations and campus events
- Help create marketing materials for Auxiliary Services and its departments
- Manage and update social media postings as assigned
- Work with vendors to maintain functioning vending machines
- Execute on-campus and occasional off-campus errands with reliability and professionalism
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and carrying mail and packages
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including walking across campus
- Must be a currently enrolled SHSU student
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Professional, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working within Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Teams
- Social media content creation experience preferred

- Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Is proactive, adaptable, and capable of handling multiple tasks with minimal supervision
