Step into a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher, making a direct impact in an Affective Needs Program serving a small, focused caseload of five students. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with a dedicated support team, including four paraprofessionals in the classroom, to deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions tailored to each student’s unique needs.

What we’re seeking:

• Current Colorado Special Education Teaching License
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification
• Experience working with affective needs, emotional, or behavioral support programs valued
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with staff and families
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Compassion, patience, and flexibility working within a dynamic school setting

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lesson plans to address students’ academic, social, and emotional needs
• Implement IEPs with fidelity, documenting ongoing progress and interventions
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other team members to provide consistent support
• Engage families and caregivers in their child’s learning and growth
• Maintain all required records and communications accurately and promptly
