Position Title Postdoctoral Scholar Pool - Mathematics Department Job Posting Number 2026056NTL Job Location Round Rock, San Marcos College/Division College of Science and Engineering Department/School Mathematics Position Description The Mathematics Department seeks to develop a pool of candidates for postdoctoral scholars (post‑doc) positions in Mathematics and Mathematics Education. A post‑doc is a professional appointment designed to provide recent doctoral degree recipients with an opportunity to gain experience and skills that will advance their careers. A post‑doc works under the supervision and sponsorship of a regular faculty member, who serves as a mentor, provides orientation, a development plan, and encourages learning opportunities to broaden the post‑doc’s aspirations and experiences. The appointment involves a substantial full‑time commitment to research, scholarship, teaching, or other professional activities. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental or school need. This posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists.
