Position Title Nontenure Faculty Pool – Legal Studies Position Description The Department of Political Science seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in Legal Studies. Temporary faculty appointments are based upon student demand on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos campus and/or online, depending on departmental needs. Positions are for the fall2025, spring2026, and summer2025/2026 semesters. Responsibilities Teach one to four courses per semester, as assigned by the department. Deliver course content in campus or online formats. Participate in annual performance evaluations. Qualifications Minimum of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Texas in good standing. Demonstrated ability to meet teaching and curricular expectations. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience.
