Director of Business Development

HOST Management Group is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Director of Business Development to grow our property management portfolio and expand our referral network. This role is responsible for generating new business, developing strategic relationships, converting leads, and managing opportunities from initial contact through signed management agreement and onboarding. Property management business development experience is required. We may consider exceptional candidates with strong business development experience in other areas of real estate. We are looking for someone who is motivated, organized, competitive, personable, and comfortable taking ownership of the entire business development process. Compensation $60,000–$125,000+ potential annual compensation Compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based commission, with strong earning potential for a high performer. Responsibilities Generate new property management business through networking, referrals, prospecting, and strategic partnerships. Build relationships with Realtors, investors, property owners, brokers, lenders, developers, and other referral partners. Respond to and convert inbound leads. Conduct calls and meetings with prospective clients. Present HOST Management Group's services and value proposition. Prepare proposals and management agreements. Follow up consistently and move opportunities through the sales pipeline. Negotiate and close new management business. Maintain accurate CRM records and track leads, appointments, proposals, conversions, and units added. Attend networking events and industry functions. Work closely with ownership, operations, onboarding, and marketing to ensure a smooth client transition. Identify new markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities. Qualifications Proven ability to generate leads and close property management business. Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills. Experience working with property owners, investors, Realtors, and other real estate professionals. Strong follow-up, organization, and pipeline management skills. Experience using CRM software. Strong presentation and negotiation skills. Self-motivated and accountable for performance goals. We may also consider an exceptional candidate with significant business development experience in residential real estate, multifamily, investment sales, real estate development, build-to-rent, or other closely related areas of the real estate industry.
