Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility to engage with students and their families through virtual platforms. While you will collaborate with various stakeholders in the educational system, all interactions will be managed in a safe virtual setting, making it essential to be adept in using digital communication tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.

• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments, adjusting strategies as necessary to fit clients' evolving needs.

• Create, implement, and monitor comprehensive care plans that connect clients to necessary services, considering their individual circumstances and family dynamics.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions geared towards prevention, recovery, and positive treatment outcomes.

• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, collaborating with educators and mental health professionals to enhance student support systems.

• Develop and maintain a manageable caseload, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation of client progress through effective use of electronic health records.

• Assist with crisis intervention strategies, making appropriate referrals and engaging with clients in urgent situations.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and engage in professional development committees to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily engage with children and adolescents within the school system who are exhibiting symptoms of mental health challenges. This role requires cultural competence and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by diverse populations, particularly in underserved communities. Understanding the social determinants of health and employing effective intervention strategies is crucial to fostering resilience among clients.

Qualifications\n

• A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Texas.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
