Business Development Manager (B2B Chemicals)

Our client is a growing manufacturer and supplier of B2B chemical products and dispensing solutions. Their product line includes hand-care products, hand sanitizers, hard surface cleaners, and related dispensing systems, serving customers through direct and distributor channels.This is a sales position covering the United States and travel throughout the USA will be required. Candidates should also live within 100 miles of Cincinnati, OH.Job Summary:The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share across a national territory by identifying new opportunities, developing relationships, and closing new business. This role focuses on selling solution-based chemical programs and partnering cross-functionally to support customer needs, trials, and implementation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B chemicals and institutional cleaning, is comfortable hunting for new business, and has experience working with distributors.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and execute a business development plan to grow sales across a national territoryIdentify, prospect, and secure new customers for hand-care products, sanitizers, cleaners, and dispensing systemsBuild and maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and channel partners to support long-term growthManage the full sales cycle from lead generation through negotiation and close, including coordination of trials/validations and implementation support as neededGrow existing accounts through cross-sell/upsell opportunities and expanded product/program adoptionMaintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting using CRM toolsMonitor market trends and competitive activity to support account prioritization and growth strategyRepresent the company at customer meetings and industry events as neededCoordinate with internal teams (R&D, operations, supply chain, and marketing) to deliver customer-specific solutions and resolve escalations related to product performance, availability, or deliverySupport alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cleaning and disinfectant productsRequirements:4+ years of business development or sales experience in one or more of the following: custom chemical manufacturing, institutional cleaning products, hand care, sanitizers, or disinfectantsProven success hunting for new business in a B2B environmentExperience selling solution-based or formulation-based products and tailoring programs to customer needsDistributor/channel experience preferredStrong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsComfortable working independently in a remote role and managing a national territoryProficiency with CRM tools and standard business software for pipeline management and reportingAbility to travel nationally as needed (50% is standard, but could be as high as 75% some months); access to a major airport preferredAbility to travel to the corporate office monthly (Cincinnati, OH area)Bachelor’s degree preferredBenefits:Why join this company?Competitive base salary ($100-130k)Sales incentive opportunities (bonus on margin and incremental sales)Expected total earnings: $120-200k++ with a $400k capMonthly car allowanceRemote/hybrid when not traveling to prospects/clientsFull medical and dental benefits401K retirement planPaid time offSupplies for home and mobile officeOpportunities for professional development and career advancement within the organizationAccess to industry-leading technology and resourcesApply today!
