Maintenance Technician

Candlewood Suites - Shelbyville is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shelbyville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and safety of our property, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff alike. You will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and handle repairs efficiently to support the smooth operation of the hotel. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from management and staff. Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and ensure timely completion of work. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies necessary for maintenance tasks. Comply with safety policies and procedures to provide a safe work environment. Coordinate with external vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs or services. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any recurring issues to management. Requirements Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs. Basic understanding of safety practices and regulations within a hospitality environment. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
