Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with new clients, ensuring accurate documentation from initial consultation through the entire treatment process.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health using structured assessments and clinical interviews.
\n
• Design and implement personalized intervention plans that cater to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.

• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment course, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive care strategies.

• Manage follow-ups with clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to recovery by implementing preventive measures and engaging with clients’ support systems.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers dealing with mental health challenges, enhancing their ability to assist the client.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population includes individuals from diverse backgrounds dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. As a mental health counselor, you will interact with both adult and adolescent clients, tailoring your therapeutic approach to suit their unique circumstances and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong command of electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms, to manage documentation and client records effectively.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding in client interactions.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating strong individual clinical skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in an outpatient setting.

• Experience working with clients facing dual diagnosis involving underlying physical and emotional health conditions.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and ongoing advances in the mental health field.

• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the implications of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
