Key Responsibilities\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at A Better Self, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Your role will involve collaborating closely with clients to empower them to overcome their struggles and build healthy coping mechanisms. You will champion the development of resilience and personal growth within a framework of empathetic understanding and professional guidance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.

• A current and valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD).

• Experience dealing with substance abuse and mental health disorders is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in telehealth settings, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing technology for client assessments and therapeutic interventions. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is advantageous, offering clients evidence-based frameworks for coping and relief.

Compensation and Benefits\n
