Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements that support a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, the role involves attending regular virtual team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment strategies, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Although your primary interactions may be conducted online, you will occasionally meet in person at our outpatient office for team-building activities and training sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through detailed interviews and standardized evaluation tools.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client, utilizing evidence-based approaches.

• Maintain regular sessions with clients, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and group therapy sessions.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment processes, and coping strategies.
\n
• Facilitate referrals to additional healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and support groups, when necessary.

• Document all clinical interactions and treatment progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in collaborative case consultations with colleagues to enhance treatment planning and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse array of clients facing numerous challenges, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, and eating disorders. Our patient population encompasses various age groups and cultural backgrounds, offering a dynamic and enriching professional experience. A strong understanding of cultural competence and sensitivity is essential when engaging with our clients.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

• A minimum of four years of related clinical experience in a mental health setting.

• Proficiency in delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to perform crisis intervention and maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport swiftly with clients from varied backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
