Tax Associate

A well-established public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Associate to join their growing team. This firm works closely with individuals, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth clients, providing a mix of compliance and advisory services. The role offers strong exposure to a variety of tax engagements, direct client interaction, and a clear path for growth. Tax Associate Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations Ensure timely and accurate filings in accordance with current tax laws and regulations Assist with multi-state filings and compliance requirements Work directly with clients to gather financial information and resolve tax-related questions Provide support on tax planning strategies and year-round advisory needs Build and maintain strong client relationships Conduct tax research and stay current on changing regulations Assist in identifying tax-saving opportunities for clients Support senior team members on more complex tax engagements Work closely with partners and managers on engagement execution Assist in improving internal processes and workflows Support junior staff as needed during busy season Tax Associate Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 2–5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax EA or CPA-track strongly preferred Experience preparing individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120/1120S) Familiarity with tax software (UltraTax, CCH, ProSeries, or similar) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
