Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator | Data CentersA leading General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Preconstruction Manager or Senior Estimator in Dallas to support the continued growth of its data center business. This is a particularly strong opportunity for someone with established data center preconstruction experience who is looking for a defined route into senior leadership. The business is 100% employee owned and has a clear progression plan for this individual to develop into a Director level position, with increasing responsibility for the leadership and growth of its data center preconstruction operations.The Role You will take a senior position within the preconstruction team, with a primary focus on data center projects across Texas while also supporting opportunities across the company's wider construction portfolio. Responsibilities will include:Leading estimates from conceptual budgeting through final pricing and GMPPreparing detailed estimates, cost plans and preconstruction budgetsManaging subcontractor pricing, bid packages, scope reviews and bid levelingWorking closely with operations, project leadership, design teams and clients throughout preconstructionProviding value engineering, constructability and cost analysisDeveloping and maintaining relationships across the Dallas subcontractor marketSupporting pursuit strategy and project selectionHelping develop the company's long term data center preconstruction capabilityTaking on increasing leadership responsibility as the data center portfolio continues to growWhat They Are Looking For: The key requirement is proven data center estimating or preconstruction experience within a General Contractor environment.
