Job Description
CT Technologist - CT

Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST; on call, callback, holidays per unit needs.

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
- Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
- Preferred: Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation process).
- Preferred: Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, adhering to department policy for patient safety.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable.
- Insert IVs when necessary and position patients accordingly, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary components within the EMR system, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation requirements: must complete injection certification if not already certified.
