Program Manager I – Employee Benefits
Location: Providence, RI
Note: Workday experience required
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits professional to provide temporary operational, analytical, and project support for employee benefits programs and related systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday Benefits , benefits administration, system testing and validation, reporting, data analysis, and Open Enrollment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and maintenance of employee benefit programs and processes within Workday .
- Provide functional support for Workday Benefits , including configuration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and system updates.
- Assist with annual benefits system updates, Open Enrollment preparation, testing, implementation, and reporting.
- Review and audit benefits reports and data to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Use Microsoft Excel to analyze, reconcile, track, and report benefits information.
- Coordinate projects by tracking activities, deliverables, deadlines, issues, and outstanding items.
- Monitor ServiceNow tickets related to benefits system issues, requests, and enhancements.
- Coordinate with benefits vendors, HR representatives, and other stakeholders to research and resolve issues.
- Support benefits-related communications, documentation, reporting, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Benefits , including knowledge of benefits configuration and business processes.
- Professional experience administering employee benefit programs.
- Knowledge of benefits administration and annual benefits cycles, including Open Enrollment .
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with experience analyzing and reconciling data.
- Experience auditing reports, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining data integrity.
- Project or project coordination experience with multiple deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with benefits system configuration, testing, updates, or implementation.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/case management systems.
- Experience working with benefits vendors and internal/external stakeholders.
- Experience in a complex HR, benefits, or highly structured organizational environment.
