Job Title: Harness Design Engineer
Location: Griffin, GA | Onsite
Salary: $70K $86K/Annum
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer with strong wiring harness design experience to develop and maintain harnesses, cables, electrical schematics, and related components for marine engines, gensets, and electronic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, release, and maintain wiring harness and cable assembly drawings.
- Develop harness assemblies, wiring groups, and related components.
- Create and maintain engineering models and product geometry data.
- Develop and review electrical schematics.
- Support manufacturing, quality, assembly, and suppliers with troubleshooting.
- Support engineering changes, drawing deviations, and change notices.
- Develop harness design standards, best practices, and documentation.
- Investigate new concepts and improvements for harness designs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 7 years of relevant harness design experience.
- Strong wiring harness design experience.
- Experience with Creo, Pro/E, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
- Experience with EDS and Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with internal teams and external suppliers.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAT engines, gensets, or marine products.
- Experience developing and reading electrical schematics.
- Experience with CAT ET.
