Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Driver As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Driver in Fernandina Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 12:00 AM - 04:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, credential checks, and visitor management activities at a manufacturing and industrial location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, shipping and receiving zones, and other sensitive parts of the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating security‑related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and production‑adjacent spaces, remaining aware that working environments and conditions may vary by location. Support site policies related to deliveries, contractor access, key or badge control, and emergency response activities while maintaining clear, professional communication with staff and visitors. Minimum Requirements At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
