Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, addressing the emotional complexities that arise during rehabilitation.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate therapeutic support during challenging moments of the rehabilitation process, assisting clients in managing acute emotional distress.

• Maintain thorough and accurate client records, treatment notes, and documentation that adhere to both ethical and legal standards.

• Engage clients and their families in education about mental health, coping mechanisms, and engagement in therapy, fostering a deeper understanding of the rehabilitation process.

• Continuously update knowledge of the latest research and effective practices in marriage and family therapy as well as rehabilitation strategies through professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as an LMFT will involve working with a diverse population facing various physical and mental health issues. These may include individuals overcoming substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. As you guide your clients through their recovery, you will focus on family involvement where possible, recognizing the integral role of supportive relationships in successful rehabilitation.
