Clinical Coordinator

Information:The Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison is responsible for managing the practicum experiences (both direct supervision and preceptorships) for our Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse programs. The Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison will actively promote the mission, policies, and procedures of the institution while preserving the professional relationship with each clinical facility.The primary responsibilities of the Nursing College Clinical Site Liaison, who must be a Registered Nurse, include but are not limited to, the management of the clinical relationship, overseeing and coordinating clinical experience schedules, conducting observational visits to each facility, interfacing with preceptors and facility representatives, and reporting all events associated with clinical experiences.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Management of Clinical RelationshipOversight and Planning for Clinical ExperiencesSecurement of New Clinical SitesMaintenance of Existing Clinical Sites and ContractsAudit and Verification of Student Medical Documents Job ResponsibilitiesManage and develop clinical relationships with Chief Nursing Officers, Directors of Nursing and other administratorsDevelop and implement orientation program for clinical faculty members and students to facilities and our practicum policies and proceduresMentor new clinical instructors through the first rotationCollect, review, and audit preceptor and clinical documentsConduct debriefs with preceptors before and during clinical experiencesOversee and conduct observational clinical site visitsCollaborate with program chairs in the planning, implementing and evaluating our clinical experiencesSchedule relief coverage in absence of clinical instructor in coordination with program chairsKeep one's own Registered Nurse license currentSkills and AbilitiesAssociates or higher degree in nursing; BSN preferredProven experience with supervisory roles within an educational or business setting or other relevant experiencesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to organize and prioritize workflowAbility to meet deadlinesDetailed orientatedAn outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping othersExceptional organizational, listening, and teamwork skillsMinimum Qualifications:BSN or higher degree in nursingProven experience with supervisory roles within an educational or business setting or other relevant experiencesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to organize and prioritize workflowAbility to meet deadlinesDetailed orientatedAn outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping othersExceptional organizational, listening, and teamwork skillsNotice of Non-discriminationJersey College is committed to providing an environment that respects and encourages the development and growth of all students, faculty and staff.
