What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized assessments as well as observational tools, catering to pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients.
• Create tailored treatment strategies to target short- and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy, focusing on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Engage collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members.
• Provide education for patients and family members to help facilitate speech and communication growth beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate occasionally in inpatient speech assessments and therapy sessions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Accurately document your findings and interventions to comply with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Continually update your skill set through professional development opportunities and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is pending.

Required Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
