Job Opportunity – Interventional Cardiology – Pennsylvania

Start Date: Multiple dates available (August and October assignments)

Location: South-central Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with weeknight beeper call from 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM for STEMI coverage; Weekend STEMI call 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (must cover general cardiology on weekends)

Highlights:

• Interventional cardiology position with a balanced case mix including hospital consults, inpatient and outpatient catheterizations, TEEs, echo reads, and cardiac windows
• Average of 15 consults and 3 procedures per day at a 74-bed community hospital
• Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation and patient care coordination
• Specific coverage blocks available: August 28 – 31 (24-hour call) and October 5 – 9 (days plus weeknight call)
• Credentialing timeframe of 120 days; temporary privileges available for urgent needs with clean credentialing files
• Opportunity to provide comprehensive cardiology services including general cardiology weekend coverage

Requirements:

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC/Letter of Qualification in hand
• Current DEA registration required
• Proficiency in special procedures including TEEs, echo interpretation, cardiac catheterizations, and cardiac windows
• Clean malpractice history (no settlements over $500K; no more than 3 settlements with exceptions for cases over 20 years old)
• NPDB self-query within 6 months, full compliance documentation due 2 weeks prior to start date
• Completion of required health screenings, fingerprinting, and background checks within specified timeframes
