Make a lasting impact on student success by providing vital physical therapy services across a supportive district environment near Chester, VT. This contract opportunity is perfect for a licensed Physical Therapist passionate about serving K-12 students in a collaborative, district-wide setting.
Enjoy a balanced schedule with two days per week on-site, working across four buildings with a variety of age groups and therapy needs. The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, to June 14, 2027, offering meaningful engagement throughout the academic year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont Physical Therapist Certificate is required
- Experience working with school-aged children across K-12, including those with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a flexible caseload and serve multiple school sites
- Commitment to supporting students in reaching their highest physical and functional potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to develop, implement, and monitor individualized physical therapy plans for students
- Provide direct and consultative PT services based on student needs and IEPs
- Collaborate with educational teams to support student access to learning across the district
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school, state, and federal requirements
- Promote independence, safety, and participation in school environments
