Make an impact as a district-wide Occupational Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade across four schools. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule (35-37.5 hours weekly) and spans the entire academic year, starting August 26, 2026, and ending June 14, 2027.
Ideal candidates possess strong skills in delivering OT services within educational settings, advocating for student independence, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students develop the daily living, sensory, and fine motor skills necessary for success in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications:
- Active Vermont OT Certificate required
- Previous experience providing school-based OT services preferred
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and progress monitoring
- Ability to work effectively with students ranging from kindergarten to high school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting diverse student needs in multiple school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services across four buildings in the district
- Evaluate student needs, adapt interventions, and implement IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student outcomes
- Document services, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Offer strategies and staff training for classroom and home carryover
- Travel among district schools as needed within your weekly schedule
