For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Design and develop solutions for the current project through cloud-hosted Java Microservices/Kafka streams and DataStage ETL jobsMentor and guide developers on the teamHands-on work with deliverables of java services, cloud solutions, data pipelines, Kafka streaming and DataStage PX to implement solutionsHelp create strategic direction for how to transform other components of the app using modern technologies (Kafka, services, SQL and NoSQL DB)Help triage and fix issues with solution in ProductionLeverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasksEvaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovationYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field8+ years of overall experience in Software development5+ years of experience with Java micro-services, Spring Boot, Spring Batch3+ years of experience hosting micro services in cloud environments, specifically, experience in Kubernetes3+ years of experience with Kafka Producer, Kafka Consumer and Kafka Streams3+ years of experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, Postgres3+ years of CI/CD experience, including building and deploying and maintaining cloud micro servicesPreferred Qualifications:Git, GitHub, GitHub actions, GitHub Pipelines2+ years of experience with DataStage PX ETL developmentDockerXL DeployGeneral CI/CD pipeline experience*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
