Promotions & Social Media Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Promotions & Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for planning and execution of brand enhancing promotions and events that support the company’s business objectives to deliver gaming volumes, market share and return on investment through flawless execution and superior customer service. In addition, he/she will be responsible for being the voice of Fairmount Park Casino & Racing through all Social Media platforms.

Job Functions:

• Collaborates with the Manager on the strategic development, direction and implementation of all promotional activities and events held at the casino and racetrack.
• Assists the Manager in the creation, implementation and management of an effective marketing plan for the property, determining current and future objectives.
• Develops promotional themes, writes copy, and edits/proofs promotional collateral.
• Develops proposals and detailed outlines for special events, for approval, and coordinates all event logistics to ensure outstanding promotion execution.
• Participates in budget development, monitors marketing and event costs, and ensures budgetary compliance.
• Takes all steps necessary to ensure the financial and reputational success of promotions and special events.
• Ensures all promotions and special events adhere to the Illinois Gaming Board rules and regulations.
• Guides and ensures proper implementation of all new marketing strategies to ensure that they are successful while providing a high level of return on investment.
• Works at promotions and events directly with guests, and is responsible for addressing guest concerns of all types. Has direct ownership of each of these promotions and events.
• Owns all social media platforms, acting as the voice of the property. Regularly posts on each platform to ensure guests are always aware of events and promotions occurring on property.
• Works with the PR firm to ensure social media calendar is as effective as possible.
• Takes photographs and videos at events and promotions, showcasing the fun and excitement to guests.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Competencies:

• 1-3+ years casino experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
• Exceptional verbal and written communication
• Ability to create and work within a budget
• Ensure confidentiality throughout the department
• Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays

Working Conditions:
Work is performed both in an office and on the casino floor in a smoke-free environment. Based on the promotion, hours will vary between daytime and early evening hours, typically. Holiday and weekend work schedules will also vary. At times the Promotions and Social Media Coordinator will be required to travel off property and execute events outside of the casino.

Salary: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00
