Multi-State Payroll Specialist

Job Summary A growing construction organization in Portland, OR is seeking a Multi-State Payroll Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with 3-5 years of experience who understands the importance of accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple states. The Multi-State Payroll Specialist will support payroll operations for residential and commercial construction teams, helping ensure compliance, accuracy, and a positive employee experience. Key Responsibilities Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across construction operations. Review timekeeping data, payroll changes, deductions, earnings, and adjustments for accuracy. Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements. Partner with accounting, HR, field operations, and management to resolve payroll questions and discrepancies. Maintain payroll records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and process improvements as needed. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $57,000.00 to $63,000.00 per year. Job type: Direct hire.
