GENERAL NEUROLOGY, VASCULAR NEUROLOGY, NEUROMUSCULAR, NEURO-ONCOLOGY AND EPILEPSY FACULTY POSITIONS

The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle is seeking to hire faculty members to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The positions are open to candidates with a focus on general neurology or who have completed subspecialty training in vascular neurology, neuromuscular neurology, neuro-oncology or epilepsy. The Pediatric Neurology Division at Seattle Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive treatment and diagnostic services for children with neurologic disorders in the WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region. Seattle Children’s is a 364 bed hospital with 44 PICU, 32 NICU and 20 Cardiothoracic ICU beds.The Division includesfaculty members with a range of specialty interests who lead multiple subspecialty programs including Neurocritical Care, Vascular Neurology, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology, Mitochondrial Neurology and Neuro-Oncology among others.An inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit is part of a well-established Epilepsy Surgery and Neuromodulation program. The Division also supports a growing regional teleneurology program.The Division is supported by 10 Advanced Practice Nurses, ketogenic dieticians, and research coordinators. Faculty are involved in clinical and preclinical local and multi-center research studies. Requirements include MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Washington, and certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Candidates applying for a position as epileptologist require certification in Clinical Neurophysiology and/or Epilepsy.
