Custom Compliance Analyst

Customs Compliance Analyst Position may be located in Memphis, TN; The Colony, TX; Richmond, CA; or Pompano Beach, FL. Responsible for ensuring corporate compliance with Customs and other government agency regulations, providing guidance to achieve the lowest landed cost for a complex product line. Determine HTS/HS codes for products destined for the United States, Canada, Australia, and United Kingdom, and provide direction related to rules of origin and country‑of‑origin determination. You'll be excited about this opportunity because: Perform analysis and documentation of legal and factual information for product classification to ensure smooth and accurate customs clearance and eligibility for special trade programs. Maintain customs classification records to demonstrate adherence to Customs rules and regulations. Identify and address government agency requirements for imported or exported products. Respond to inquiries from Customs Brokers and resolve problems impacting import shipments; research and provide information required for customs clearance. Provide training to business partners and develop user‑friendly reference materials that support business and compliance requirements. Stay current with regulatory changes that impact product classification and valuation. Understand acceptable customs valuation methods. Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure compliance with all relevant trade laws while enabling the business to achieve its objectives. Manage a diverse workload that may include shifts in priorities and responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include: BS/BA degree in International Trade, Business, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience working in the Customs organization of a U.S. importer. Experience in tariff classification of a broad range of commodities, including textiles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent communication skills; ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively. Preferred qualifications: Licensed U.S. Customs Broker. Knowledge of import and export regulations of other countries.
