Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Sunny Valley, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to establish personalized treatment plans.
\n
• Providing individual, couples, and family therapy via telehealth, ensuring a safe and confidential environment.
\n
• Utilizing recognized therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) tailored to client needs.

• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) and documentation of therapy sessions in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Participating in weekly supervision and team meetings to enhance collaboration and improve service delivery.
\n
• Actively engaging in professional development activities to refine therapeutic skills and remain current with best practices.
\n
• Providing referrals to other professionals or community resources when appropriate to enhance client support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with diverse patients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clientele often presents with a range of challenges, including trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and systemic issues. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is highly advantageous, as we aim to serve a broad demographic within the Paxtonville community and beyond, ensuring culturally relevant care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree from an accredited program in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting with clients of varying ages and backgrounds.

• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills; proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.
\n
• A respectful and sensitive approach to diverse backgrounds and family dynamics.
\n
• Keen capacity for self-examination and an ability to empathize with clients.
\n
• Proficiency in using various software, including EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and telehealth platforms.
\n
• Valid driver's license and car insurance, with a willingness to provide in-person sessions when necessary.
\n
• Commitment to integrating into at least one insurance panel as an in-network provider.
\n
• Availability to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialty training in areas such as Trauma, LGBTQ+, Grief and Loss, or Perinatal Mental Health.

• Experience with short-term individual and group therapy modalities.
\n
• Completed training or coursework in HIPAA compliance.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 105,000 annually, depending on experience, in addition to a sign-in bonus.
