Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing you the flexibility to provide care from the comfort of your home while maintaining essential connections with clients and the team. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and determine suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client, emphasizing recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in their healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients facing trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your training and expertise to stabilize situations and support individuals in distress.

• Educate patients and their family members on trauma reactions, coping mechanisms, and available therapeutic resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state and federal regulations concerning mental health practices.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination.

• Stay informed of the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Get Well Counseling Center, you will primarily work with clients who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, PTSD, and those facing complex trauma scenarios. Your role will be pivotal in helping these individuals navigate the challenges associated with their experiences, promoting healing, and supporting their personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure therapeutic experience is preferred.

• Robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is crucial.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will set you apart as a candidate.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations while providing empathetic support.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology to facilitate documentation and communication.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with extensive experience in trauma-based therapy and knowledge of specialized therapeutic modalities will be given preference. Previous experience working in a community health setting will also be advantageous.
