Accounts Payable Clerk
Lightology is the largest contemporary lighting showroom in North America. Our goal is to educate our customers on the intricacies of lighting design. Position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager
Job location: Chicago, IL
Job type: Full-Time
Pay rate: $22.50 to $24.50 an hour
The Accounts Payable Clerk will participate in the procure to pay process and assist in controlling expenditures through accurate and timely execution of the responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities:
- Posting invoices and credits for assigned vendors
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Communicating with various departments in a professional manner to resolve discrepancies
- Communicating with vendors via phone and email to resolve outstanding issues
- Specific projects and other ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Ability to properly apply basic accounting principles when analyzing problems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a high volume environment
- Attention to detail
- NetSuite knowledge preferred, but not required
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc)
