Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history, strengths, and areas in need of support.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and empowering clients to regain control over their lives.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their traumatic experiences.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for patients to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient, addressing all facets of their mental health needs.

• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate assistance to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma and equip them with practical coping mechanisms and resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to ensure accuracy and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes but is not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and other adverse childhood experiences. By providing individualized treatment and understanding the complexities of trauma, you will support patients in their journey toward healing and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
