Scholarship Billing Specialist

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:

The position ensures early childhood program eligibility, processes and approves claim forms, clarifies billing issues, and supports scholarship team and programs in monitoring activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process scholarship claims forms for payments
• Prepare, review and send claim form to early childhood program
• Provide business administration services to early childhood programs (billing, reporting, etc.)
• Monitor early childhood program compliance with program policies, rules and procedures
• Maintain database and files of participating early childhood programs
• Communicate with providers to resolve documentation issues
• Research claim form discrepancies
• Review adjustments or corrections to payments
• Communicate with, respond to inquiries from families, early childhood programs, and the general public regarding Early Childhood Scholarships
• Communicate with scholarship team and provider regarding child activity
• Educate early childhood programs on the qualifications and process necessary to serve scholarship children

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate's degree in business, accounting or related field preferred
• 4 years' experience in equivalent position with HS diploma or GED acceptable
• Must have 1 year of heavy/high volume billing experience
• Good aptitude with numbers and strong attention to detail.
• Solid demonstrated customer service skills.
• Good communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
• Working know of MS Access a plus.
